About Maggie

I help women to build a life of intention, connection and peace.

I am a therapist that loves to help women who are feeling overwhelmed and anxious, relentlessly exhausted, who feel scared to a debilitating degree, and acutely feel the chaos that comes with unchecked boundaries and stress.

On a technical level, I work with anxiety, depression, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, stress and burnout, unhealthy relationships, supporting clients through major life changes, as well as panic and phobias.

On a less technical level, I am passionate about helping women that feel crushed by the life they find themselves in and who desperately need things to change for the better.

Because let’s be real: as women, the focus is often on the other people in our lives that we’re supporting — whether that’s family, friends, or at work. I aim to turn the tables on this in our time together. I want to help you figure out how to make yourself a priority, and treat yourself with the kindness and gentleness that you give to everyone else. I want to help you feel confident that you have the skills to calm your mind and body when you need it. I want to help you make all the relationships in your life more fulfilling, including the one you have with yourself. Our therapy session time is going to be dedicated to you and what you need for a change.

I’m non-judgmental. I’m endlessly supportive and patient. I aim to show up as genuinely as possible, because I believe our best work happens when we show up in a real way – this means that sometimes we will laugh and cry, sometimes we will cuss, and sometimes things might get silly or ridiculous. I’m direct when I feel like it’s needed and won’t tiptoe around the work it takes to flip the script on your life. I work best with people who feel ready to tackle the challenges they’re facing and are willing to put in the work to begin seeing results.

My therapeutic training and approaches include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Somatic work, primarily Somatic Experiencing and polyvagal theory

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Attachment theory

  • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and phobias work

  • Narrative therapy

  • Neuro-science informed therapy

  • Psychodynamic work

I believe it is my job to take all of my professional knowledge and bring what is most helpful to our sessions, which means that your treatment approach will be specific to your individual needs and specific factors.
